Seniors' Events
Cloncurry Shire Council hosts a number of events for seniors throughout the year. Want to join in the fun? We welcome all persons 60+ years to join us for our seniors events.
Council endeavours to notify all local seniors about these events via Facebook, Council's website and newsletter, local noticeboards and letter drops. If you are not receiving information about these events, please contact Council on 07 4742 4100 or council@cloncurry.qld.gov.au.

The Stuart McIntosh Memorial Seniors Garden Competition is open to all senior residents in the Cloncurry Shire.
Entries are open on Tuesday, 23 July 2024. They close on Thursday, 22 August 2024
Judging and photography will take place on the week commencing Tuesday, 27 August 2024.
Categories and Prizes
Winners will receive buy local gift cards and a framed certificate.
- Grand Champion Garden Exhibit - $200
- Best Garden - Winner $150, Runner Up $70
- Best Lawn - Winner $150, Runner Up $70
- Best Produce Garden - Winner $150, Runner Up $70
- Best Potted Plant - Winner $150, Runner Up $70
- Best Decorative Garden Feature (e.g. gnome, scarecrow, garden art) - Winner $150, Runner Up $70

Winners will be announced at the Seniors Month Morning Tea on Wednesday, 16 October 2024.
