Library Memberships
The Bob McDonald Library offers free membership to all Cloncurry Shire residents.
Members have access to a catalogue of more than 300,000 items online, at any time of the day or night through the Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ) network. All you need to do is use your current library card and PIN number (set up at library) to login.
The RLQ network is made up of 28 local councils and 67 public libraries supported by State Library of Queensland. The new online database gives local library members access to the entire RLQ catalogue, including bestsellers, audiobooks, popular DVDs, large print books, magazines, free eBooks, audiobooks, and music downloads. Search the catalogue, reserve and renew loan items or access State Library of Queensland's online databases.
Tourist Memberships are available through Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ), online or through the nearest RLQ library. This is your gateway to resources and services provided by local government and the State Library of Queensland for the travelling rural community. Borrow from one RLQ library and return the item down the road to a different RLQ library. As a tourist member you can use the online catalogue to search the library collection, renew items and view a list of items you currently have on loan. It also provides you access to download free eBooks, audiobooks, music and more.
